About the Artist
Gerald Ing, born, raised and currently residing in Honolulu, Hawaii, traces his inspiration to the Islands. He specializes in acrylic renditions of Hawaiian flora and reef fish, as well as koi, capturing their vibrant color and pattern, and portraying them as dramatically as they appear in nature.
Gerald creates realistic impressions that have unusual depth and liveliness. Soft undulating petals and leaves interplay with light and show in his dramatic creations. His meticulous and exacting approach to painting require weeks to complete.
Gerald continues to marvel at God's infinite color palette and countless patterns, and is always seeking new ways to depict them.
